Affordable Storage Sponsors Toys for Tots Drive

Yes, we’re who you should call if you need a storage unit or shop rental, but that doesn’t mean we don’t care about more than that. Affordable Storage truly wants to help make an impact in the Lubbock community. As a local business, we know how important it is to help those around us and especially those who are in need.

This year, Affordable Storage is excited to sponsor a Toys for Tots Drive once again to hopefully spread a little more Christmas cheer to deserving children in the Lubbock and surrounding areas. Keep reading to learn more about the organization and why it’s so special to us.

Toys for Tots is an Incredible Organization

If you’ve ever been out and around shopping during the holiday season, then you’ve probably seen some Toys for Tots collection bins at the stores you’re shopping at and the businesses you’re frequenting. The charity is run every year through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and has a pretty meaningful goal. Toys for Tots seeks to spread Christmas cheer and joy to the less fortunate children in America by providing them with a toy for Christmas that they might not have gotten otherwise.

Basically, Toys for Tots is all about helping out deserving children around the holiday season and is a truly incredible organization. The charity seeks to serve local children who might not get Christmas presents without them, and that’s why we’re excited to sponsor a toy drive again this year.

Affordable Storage is Excited to Help Out This Holiday Season

Typically, Toys for Tots toy drives begin in October and last through December. This year, Affordable Storage is proud to sponsor a toy drive in town and collect toys to donate to local children in need. The toys will be picked up from our drive location, then sorted by age and gender to be distributed through church groups, welfare agencies, and other local community agencies who can ensure that the toys go to people who truly need them.

Affordable Storage is happy to help out such a great cause. After all, what could be more fun—and easy!—than shopping for a fun, new toy or two and then donating it at our toy drive? You can walk away knowing that you’ve helped a child in need, and that’s a pretty great feeling.

Here’s How You Can Get Involved

If you want to help us reach as many children in the Lubbock area as possible, we’re excited to help you do so! All you have to do is drop off a new, unopened toy at any Affordable Storage or A-Plus Super Storage location, and we’ll handle the rest! Basically, it’s the easiest way you can make a difference this holiday season, which is why we’re so excited to sponsor this charity organization.

Toys for Tots is an important part of the holiday season for many people. For the children who receive the toys and for those who help organize the drive, it’s something extremely special.
