Whatever you think of when you think of Affordable Storage, we also want you to think about how a local storage building company changed a community. Because that’s what we’ve done, and it’s something we are extremely passionate about.

Yes, we’re passionate about providing our customers with excellent storage units to fit their needs, but we are also extremely involved in the Lubbock community. And really, we love working to make a difference in the Hub City in as many ways as possible!

We’re Passionate About Children and Education

One of our biggest passions here at Affordable Storage is making sure that the children in our community have access to quality education. So, we’re proud to say that for 10 years, we have been a presenting sponsor for the Communities in Schools gala, and we’ve served as host of the Peace Love Mud Volleyball Tournament, both benefiting Communities in Schools of the South Plains.

But that’s not the only way we show love for the kids in our community. We have also sponsored various Little League teams over the years and host coat drives for Communities in Schools. Children are the future, and it’s important for us to do what we can to take care of them, their education, and show that we care. Because we do.

We Take Part in a lot of Seasonal Charities

While we here at Affordable Storage love to give back to the community year-round, we particularly love to take part in seasonal and holiday events to bolster the spirits of our employees and Lubbock in general. For instance, we’ve hosted the Easter Bash, which benefits the Children’s Advocacy Center and annually sponsor a float in the Lubbock 4^th of July parade.

And that’s not all! We also sponsor the annual Pumpkin Trail in Lubbock put on by Lubbock Parks & Recreation and the Garden Arts Center, something our employees especially enjoy. Our founder, Michael Postar, puts up a decorative cemetery to get in on the fun, and all our employees carve pumpkins for the trail, too.  When Christmas time rolls around, our locations also serve as drop-off spots for Toys for Tots donations. So, if you rent a storage unit with us, be sure to swing by during December to donate any toys for children in need.

We’re Involved in Plenty of Community Outreach

At this point, it probably doesn’t surprise you to know that here at Affordable Storage, we greatly value community involvement. In addition to our seasonal and educational charity efforts, we’re also involved in plenty of community outreach throughout the year.

Every year, we take part in the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce BBQ, as well as sponsor several fun runs throughout the year. But that’s not all. We also help to sponsor the annual Make-a-Wish gala, and our locations regularly serve as drop-off locations for Women’s Protective Services drives.

Lubbock Batman is a Hit

Every town needs a superhero, and for Lubbock, Texas, that superhero is the Lubbock Batman. You can spot him and his Batmobile around town, serving the needs of children in as many ways as possible. And we’re proud to sponsor the do-good superhero!

You might have seen the Lubbock Batman at the Muscular Dystrophy Association fun run, the 4th of July parade, or even making rounds at a local hospital to cheer up patients. Additionally, the Lubbock Batman is extremely proud to attend CASA Adoption Day and bring some good cheer to new families in the Lubbock area! The Lubbock Batman exists to bring good to the community, and we can’t think of a better way to show that we care.

Here at Affordable Storage, we truly care for the Lubbock community. And while we know that we are just a small part of what makes Lubbock the great city it is, we’re still proud of all we’ve done to change this amazing community. And it’s not just us doing the work! All our customers have the opportunity to donate to one of the charities we support. When they do, we match those donations dollar-for-dollar.
