Holiday Season Toy Drives Help Lubbock-area Kids and Families

There are many kids in need this holiday season and we have several ways you can help make their days a little brighter. Our partners in Lubbock-area youth organizations provide much-needed support for the families in our community. 

Communities In Schools (CIS) of the South Plains

CIS is hosting its Second Annual Sonic Toy Drive on December 3^rd, 9 am-2 pm at Canyon West Lubbock! Come out for food, holiday cheer, and lots of fun with family-friendly activities. CIS toy barrels are out now at all Affordable and A Plus locations so you don’t have to wait until December 3rd to donate your new and unwrapped toy. 

Lubbock Batman will be making a special guest appearance with his Batmobile! You won’t want to miss this community-wide Toy Drive event that is guaranteed to make the holiday season one to remember for our neighbors and friends.

Toys for Tots 

This nationwide charity is run every year through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and makes a huge difference for so many families. Toys for Tots spreads Christmas cheer and joy to the less fortunate children in America by providing them with a toy for Christmas. Affordable Storage and A Plus Super Storage are making it easier for you to contribute to this outstanding organization. Every storage facility location with Affordable Storage and A Plus Super Storage has donation barrels ready for your new and unwrapped toy. Drop off your items today! We expect to receive toys until December 20th.

Lubbock Batman 

Lubbock Batman is making appearances at events this holiday season. You won’t want to miss the chance to meet our local superhero and his one-of-a-kind Batmobile! Here’s where you can find him in December.

The CIS Mission to Prevent School Dropout

The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. They provide services to 20 Lubbock-area school districts for students in at-risk situations. Through their specialized evidence-based programs, they are able to reduce dropout rates and empower young people to stay in school, learn successfully and prepare for life.
