Communities In Schools

Communities in Schools supports students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. We donate drive-up and climate controlled units year round. Affordable Storage has supported Communities in Schools for many years. In 2016, Michael Postar, joined the board to help students achieve their dreams.

Team Luke - Hope For Minds

Affordable Storage has been a significant supporter of Team Luke – Hope For Minds, an organization committed to improving the lives of children who have suffered brain injuries. By providing storage units, Affordable Storage helps Team Luke securely store medical equipment, therapy supplies, and other essential items needed for their programs. This support enables the organization to efficiently manage its resources and focus more on providing care and support to families and children in need.

CASA Of The South Plains

Affordable Storage has been a valuable partner in supporting CASA of the South Plains, an organization dedicated to advocating for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. This support allows CASA to focus more on ensuring every child has a safe, permanent home, demonstrating how local businesses can make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Caleb's Closet

Affordable Storage has been instrumental in supporting Caleb’s Closet by providing storage space for the organization. This partnership allows Caleb’s Closet to efficiently store and organize the clothing, shoes, and essential items they collect for children in the foster care system. With the added storage capacity, Caleb’s Closet can better serve the needs of these children, ensuring they have access to the resources they need when needed.

In 2018 in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Michael Postar’s Affordable Storage helped Women’s Protective Services with their Linen Drive. We collected sheets, towels, pillows and blankets to help women and children feel the comfort of home and a safe place to lay their heads.

Children's Hope 5K Hope Run

We are proud to partner up with Children’s Hope to sponsor a 5k run that helps raise funds for toys, athletics, and the arts. Check out the video above to see who Children’s Hope is.

Make-A-Wish is a nonprofit organization that works together with the community to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Michael Postar, owner of Affordable Self Storage, joined the Make-A-Wish board 14 years ago to help make these wishes come true.

For these children, a wish is hope. Through a wish experience, imagination is sparked, and anything becomes possible – children look beyond the challenges of today and focus on the possibilities of tomorrow. It’s no surprise that medical research is making connections between wish experiences and better health outcomes. Children are being referred in record numbers.

Wishes need you. Every eligible child’s wish can be made possible with support from individual donors and supporters.

We are also the proud sponsors of KAMC’s Wish Wednesdays. Each week KAMC introduces wish kids across the South Plains. We are excited to partner with Make a Wish to make wishes come true.
