On April 2, 2021, the 134th & Upland Affordable Storage shop hosted its first annual Easter Bash. The Easter Bash benefitted Children’s Advocacy Center of the South Plains. Patty Jackson, owner of Mama Tried Treasures, organized the event. Patty has a huge heart, and when she heard that Children’s Advocacy Center had a great need for blankets, Easter basket, snacks, games, and water, she knew what needed to be done!
Event participants received a raffle ticket for every item they donated. Filled Easter basket donations were worth 10 tickets. A number of fun items were raffled off with the grand prize being a Glitzy Girlz cooler filled with donations from various vendors, including Two Docs Brewery. In all, 20 fabulous prizes were raffled off with winners drawn by Patty herself.
The event featured a DJ, food trucks, multiple vendor booths, Botox specials from Christy Lee, a style show, and a car show featuring the Ghost Busters car. With about 1,000 people in attendance throughout the day, fun was had by all! Additionally, forty Easter baskets were collected and donated to Children’s Advocacy Center along with a $500 donation from Mama Tried Treasures from raffle ticket sales as well as another $250 donation from Mai Thai Kitchen.
Special thanks to Two Docs Brewery for providing beer for the event and donating to our grand prize raffle. And thank you to all who attended this event and blessed the Children’s Advocacy Center at the same time.
